In the fourth year of the I Can Manage My Business project, the first face-to-face training was held in Çanakkale on May 12, hosted by the South Marmara Industry and Business Federation (GÜNMARSİFED).
With the support of institutions representing the business people of the region, such as Çanakkale Industry and Business Association (ÇASİAD), Çanakkale Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Çanakkale Organized Industrial Zone, Çanakkale Commodity Exchange, SMEs came together at the I Can Manage My Business Çanakkale training.
In training; the basic business cycle of businesses, international trade and e-export, digital marketing and green transformation with Akbank's contributions were discussed in detail by I Can Manage My Business academics and experts. SMEs found answers to their questions about the difficulties they experienced in these areas. In the last session of the training, “Finance Talks Panel”, the issue of SMEs' access to finance was discussed. Niyazi Önen, Chairman of the Board of Dardanel Group of Companies, Assoc.Prof. Recep Bildik, Istanbul Commerce University Faculty Member, Onur Ünlü, ESCON CEO, Member of the Board of Directors of Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED) and Chairman of the Green Transformation Commission were among the speakers in the panel. The moderator of the panel was Kaan Kiziroğlu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Servo Capital, Member of the Board of Directors of TÜRKONFED and Chairman of the Access to Finance Commission.
I Can Manage My Business Project was implemented in 2019 with the support of 30 banks and e-money institutions in cooperation with Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation (TÜRKONFED), Visa and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), reaches out to SMEs by online and face-to-face trainings, webinars, digitalization supports, mentoring program studies, contributes to their development in financial, digital and managerial aspects.
In the first 3 years of the project, in order to increase the existing capacities of SMEs and make their life cycle sustainable, 3.000 SME representatives in 78 cities were reached on access to finance, marketing, international trade and e-export, branding, entrepreneurship, e-commerce, digitalization, crisis management, supply chain and logistics, entry to international markets, management strategy, green transformation issues by webinars, face-to-face and online trainings.
In order to quicklıy respond to the digital transformation needs of SMEs, I Can Manage My Business Project provided free "E-Commerce Support" to 163 SMEs and "Digital Marketing Consultancy" to 40 SMEs in the 2020-2021 period.
"Boss to Boss Mentoring Program" was prepared in cooperation with TÜRKONFED and TÜSİAD to listen the problems of SMEs one by one, analyze these problems and then reveal the solutions. Within the framework of the program, 6 SMEs were mentored. In addition, "Expert to Expert Mentoring Program" was prepared by Visa. 7 SME representatives were mentored and provided the opportunity to develop their businesses in the fields of branding, management strategy, marketing, finance and digitalization.
The "Digitalization Supports" and "Mentoring Program" started in 2020, continue to increase its volume in 2022. I Can Manage My Business Project that prioritizes the needs of SMEs and shapes its entire program accordingly, included "Green Transformation" to its trainings.
Within the scope of the Project, aims to reach SMEs in different regions of Turkey and attaches importance to regional development, face-to-face trainings will be held in 6 different cities in this year. In the trainings, the subjects that SMEs need most, such as the basic activity cycle of businesses, international trade and e-export, green transformation and digital marketing, will be discussed by academicians and professionals who are experts in their fields.
I Can Manage My Business trainings will be held in in Van in June, in Ordu in September, in Eskişehir in October, in Bursa in November, and in Elazığ in December.
